Kyler Sullivan Warms Hearts With Single “Snowed In”

Playing his soulful music in the heart of Music City, Kyler Sullivan has a new song out called “Snowed In.” This third single follows up his releases “Sugar Rush” and “Once You Go Country.” The Florida born artist went to college at Belmont University to study commercial music. The country singer was actually discovered when busking on the streets of Nashville and now plays iconic Honky Tonks up and down Broadway.

“Snowed In” is a great song all year round, but even better during the colder months. It blurs the line between a Christmas song and country single, reminiscent of “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” Sullivan sings about a snow day spent inside with someone he cares about. His voice is very rich, feeling like a cross between distinct vocalists like Brenden Urie and Johnny Cash. Lyrically the song combines small moments of romance with moments of humor. “Ain’t got no wood for burning / Don’t need it anyway / Cause you got an iPad with an app that makes / It looks like a fireplace.” It paints a picture of special moments during an ordinary day.

Production wise, the simplicity let’s Sullivan’s unmistakable voice shine. Being accompanied by a romantic acoustic guitar, it builds to a big emotional chorus. It is smooth and sweet, infusing Sullivan’s influences of Country, R&B, and Pop. The single combines a heartfelt message with a softer, sweeter sound throughout.

Overall, “Snowed In” is a perfect single to ring in the year with. Sullivan has a signature sound that will only continue to be shaped by his future releases. He has a clear creativity in his lyric writing and knows what will compliment his voice. So if you have not checked out Kyler Sullivan’s music – give it a listen and be on the lookout for his performances throughout Nashville!
