Kathleen Fee Strikes Gold With Single “Glitter Gold”

An up and coming force in the country music world, singer/songwriter Kathleen Fee, has released her powerful anthem “Glitter Gold” out now. Most known for her work as the compelling front woman of New York based band Celtic Cross, Fee has stepped into the heart of Nashville to let her stories shine. When it came to collaborations on the project, Fee worked with renowned writers like two time grammy winner Rebecca Lynn Howard, Josh Matteny (who has toured with artists like Kacey Musgraves, Vince Gill, and more), and Elisha Hoffman, founding member of Steven Tyler’s Country band The Loving Mary. With the help of her collaborations, Fee is able to dig deep and share the heartfelt lyrics that country music continues to be known for.

“Glitter Gold” is a track infused with crisp and clean production and real grit in the storytelling. Fee cites musical influences like Mary Chapin Carpenter and you can hear that sound as well as modern day acts like Kelsea Ballerini. Fee has a knack for blending classic country guitars with a pop inspired melody. She has this “fight song” anthem that has the listener both rooting for her, and seeing themselves in her journey.

Lyrically, the song captures Fee’s drive, showing she is willing to go the distance for her dreams. She knows it is not easy singing, “blazing in their kind of glory /dancing on that side of the road / where it’s raining glitter gold.” It is her unique spin on Shakespeare’s “all that glitters is not gold.”
Overall, Kathleen Fee has had a riveting journey through the music industry and has surrounded herself with an impressive team. Glitter Gold, the EP of the same name, is slated to come out later this year. So be sure to go give the single a listen in anticipation for the full release!
