Nashville,  On The Road

Through Taylor Swift’s Eras Exhibit

The whispers and rumors in downtown Nashville turned into cheers and lines out of the door at the Country Music Hall of Fame. All because a certain singer is “slowly lurching toward (our) favorite city.” That singer being global superstar Taylor Swift. She is gearing up to play three sold out nights in Music City at the Nissan Stadium.

In honor of Nashville being nicknamed her “Hometown Show,” Swift loaned The Country Music Hall Of Fame ten pieces of her iconic outfits from over the “eras” of her career. The exhibit is called Through Taylor Swift’s Eras and It spans over the singer’s long and fruitful career. It includes iconic looks such as the You Need To Calm Down bikini and fluffy jacket, to her early outfits like a sundress and cowgirl boots from one of her first red carpets. The look down memory lane is one that swifties can find appreciation for. One of my favorite looks on display is the “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” ringleader outfit from her 2013 Red Tour. It is covered in gems and even includes her top hat and scepter.

These pieces were added in addition to what is already on display in her education center, named The Taylor Swift Education Center. This portion is dedicated to educating and inspiring young children to find a love for music, similar to Swift when she learned her first chords at 12 years old. The education center has a Midnights theme, with one of Swift’s Bejeweled music video outfits on display. Creatively, the education center was able to tie in a country music thread with a portion called “Country Songs At Midnight.” This section highlights country stars like Emmylou Harris and Hank Williams. It is a great way to allow Swift to keep pushing her songwriting across genres, while also showing she is not too far from her roots.

The Through Taylor Swift’s Eras exhibit will be on display now until May 31st, but with Swifties coming this weekend that will probably be the most crowded the display will be. The Midnights display in the education center is planned to be up until Summer 2024, according to the Country Music Hall of Fame socials.
Regardless, we will certainly be feeling the magic in the air all weekend long. These nights will be sparkling and be better than our wildest dreams. If you get a chance to come to downtown Nashville, there are many other Swiftie things to celebrate Taylor in town – but the Country Music Hall of Fame’s Through Taylor Swift’s Eras is a must see!
